From the Midnight Zone

The Gulper eel has a enormous mouth and is also known as the pelican eel. Gulper eels do not have a swim bladder or scales like other fish. They are normally black and grow to be 30 inches long. It's mouth has lots tiny teeth, and its huge lower jaw can stretch to eat things bigger than it's self. Sometimes it swims with it's mouth open feeding on plakton. Sometimes gulpers have a redish light on the end of it's tail to attract prey.

Your story was interesting. You have taught me a bit about the Gulper eel.

Hi Lauren
What an ugly, scary looking fish the Gulper Eel is!

I was wondering how long 30 inches is in centimetres? Perhaps you could send me an email to tell me.

I don't know too much about fish so was wondering if you could also tell me what a swim bladder is?

I enjoyed reading yourinformation, I certainly found out some facts about this odd looking eel.

The image you have alongside the text is actually an angler fish.
The gulper or pelican eel is a lot less offensive looking...
