Sand and Seaweed

Today we went to see a presentation given by Steve from "Educate Me" in Auckland. The presentation was called "Sand and Seaweed". Steve told us about the undersea animals that live in the sea. He taught us about the food chain or as he calls it the food web. The food web is, the smallest sea creature to the biggest sea creature. Steve was really interesting. Did you know that the second fastest moving animal is the Mantis Shrimp? He showed us all different kinds of shells. Did you know that there is a shell called a Helmet shell? Nether did I. If a Sea star (starfish) gets cut in half or loses a leg it will grow it back in up to 6 months.
